¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to the very first year of Running Brook’s Spanish program! We are excited to work with your students to help them develop skills to communicate with and appreciate the people and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. All students from Pre-K through 5th grade will receive daily Spanish instruction in their classrooms. They will use an interactive digital textbook called Descubre el español. It is a wonderful text that focuses on the four skills of communication: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition to using the textbook, students will engage in hands-on activities that appeal to a variety of learning styles. From the very first day of class, they will develop skills that allow them to function in a nurturing classroom environment that is conducted almost exclusively in Spanish. 

We look forward to communicating regularly with you, as we too become a part of the Running Brook community. Back-to-School Night will be an opportunity for us to personally share more information about the Spanish program at Running Brook.
